Nokia N97 Release Date & Price

Nokia have still not released any official information about the Nokia N97 since the initial press release.

So as it stands, the N97 is expected to be released some time within the first half of 2009, although with the lack of mention of the phone by retailers as an upcoming device, we would expect it to be released towards May or June.

As for price, Nokia have said the unsubsidised cost of the Nokia N97 is 550 euros. As a comparison, this is the same cost of the Nokia N96 when it was first released, making the N97 look like something of a bargain.

Once subsidies have been applied by the mobile networks in the UK, you can expect to the get it free on an 18 month £40 a month contract, or possibly on a £35 a month contract.

Nokia N97 Introduction

Nokia introduced the Nokia N97 mobile phone to the world on December 2nd 2008. The N97 is expected to be available during the first half of 2009, and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated handsets of 2009.

It's a 3.5 inch touch screen phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. In fact, Nokia are generally referring to it as a mobile computer, although it is still being positioned as a mobile phone.
